Milo Greene is a self-described cinematic pop band that formed in Los Angeles, California. Milo Greene is a quintet, with four lead singers. Band members Robbie Arnett, Graham Fink, Andrew Heringer, and Marlana Sheetz share lead and backing vocal duties, often switching instruments during performances. And you’ll get to experience this audiological amazingness at this summers eagerly anticipated Longitude festival.

The sound of Miike Snow, Max Frost and Jose Gonsalez rolled into one? And it’s coming out of Germany? Who knew, after their shocking Eurovision result (yes I know Ireland did worse, but at least we didn’t get automatic entry!!), that Germany had a few musical tricks up its sleeves. Well one in particular called Milky Chance, and this 20 year old German singer songwriter has a very bright future ahead of him!

Superhumanoids are an indie/folk/pop trio from LA and make “music to help kiss the doldrums away”. So when I saw that they had done a cover of Nine Inch Nails ‘March of the Pigs’, I had to have a listen. This is truly beautiful, and transformed!

Max Frost – White Lies

When you come across a sound so familiar, but yet so different, you can’t help but explore it more. I’ve listened to every single one of Max Frost’s tracks on Soundcloud, and not one is the same, however each single song that plays, you know it’s the same artist. I love that ability in a singer songwriter, and it’s something so many try to do, yet so few succeed. I recently got a hold of the new Phoenix album for example and every single song sounds the same. Not a pleasant listening experience IMHO! So who is Max Frost?

Singer/ Songwriter/ Producer/ Multi-instrumentalist Max Frost played all major venues in his hometown of Austin, TX as well as The Button Factory in Dublin, the Folklife Festival in Memphis, TN and Austin City Limits Festival by the time he was 18. A citizen of Earth, he is creating a musical spaceship to travel into distant galaxies. His influences include everything he’s ever heard.

And this track seems to heavily influenced my Gnarls Barkley. I’m loving the sound of this guy! His other tracks on Soundcloud are all also awesome. Keep them coming Max, we’re loving your work.

I’m a big fan of YACHT and their relatively unique indie disco sound. This is enhanced superbly by RAC in this remix of ‘Second Summer’. This remix can instantly make you feel like it’s a warm summers day, even on a cloudy day in Dublin.

We’re starting to get to that time of the year again, where beer gardens are jammers, the coat stays at home, and the brolly (almost) becomes redundant. Do you notice how music changes coming into Summer? It’s always a lot more upbeat and ‘pretty’. This gem by The Colorist is no exception. Wonderful electro, indie pop with a real sound of summer. Swiss Lips are a five-piece dance-electro-pop band from Manchester. The band describe their sound as heavily influenced by the Manchester music scene.

“Finding the middle ground between guitar music and dance music has been something Manchester has always been good at, and we hope to carry on that tradition.”

They draw inspiration from a wide ranging array of artists:

“…we take influences from all kinds of music. At the moment we are listening to Prince, Sebastian, Def Leppard, The Weeknd, the Beach Boys, Joe Goddard.”

By now i’m sure you all know that Kat Krazy is no stranger to TUP! So imagine the utter delight when I was strolling casually through my facebook newsfeed and spotted a premiere of his latest original track over on POP On and On.

“Siren” features singer Elkka on vocals for a smashing electro-trance-POP anthem. An eruption of smooth melodies and bouncy neon beats come together for a signature flavor that will stomp all over radio in the near future, nothing but big things to come for Kat Krazy.

Well we are also in love over here on TUP! Keep bringing it please!

I absolutely love Kat Krazy! He’s one of those serious talents that can take pop music… and makes it into some classic dance choonage! Every time I hear one of his remixes, my shoulders take on a life of their own and my feet tap like krazy. I can not get enough!

I’m yet to hear one of his remixes that I don’t like! Misha B, Coldplay, Bastille, Labyrinth, Foster the People… I’ll let you decide for yourself. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.
