They have released nothing since then, but have changed their band name to Say Lou Lou (due to a legal issue), been on an extensive tour and have signed up to a major record label. But we are pleased to see that their second single “Julian” has just been released and again has all the mood and substance of “Maybe You”.

As I said in October and I shall say it again, watch out for these Swedish Twins, I think we will hear a lot more about them in the coming months

Her debut single “You cannot break my heart” has all the things we love, electronic synths, thumping basslines and its also got a catchy melody!

This morning I found this one from Designer Drugs and Alvin Risk. Dubstep would not normally be our thing but I enjoyed this song, and also if the truth be known the cover image may have helped get my attention too.

Following lots of interest in the song and numerous requests, Johnston Mooney & O’Brien decided to make the song available to download on iTunes with the proceeds going to Temple Street. This is a beautiful and commendable idea from JMOB and one that I hope takes legs and results in huge funds being raised for Temple Street. The work that is done in the hospital is phenomenal, and having spent time there myself as a child, I know how important and invaluable it is to the families and children who pass through its doors.

A minimum of 80 cent per download (after the standard fees have been deducted by iTunes) will go directly to Temple Street Children’s University Hospital, which will be donated to help fund the refurbishment of the hospital’s St. Joseph’s Ward, the home to some of Ireland’s sickest children.

Johnston Mooney and O’Brien – When The World Was Yours And Mine

Singer/ Songwriter/ Producer/ Multi-instrumentalist Max Frost played all major venues in his hometown of Austin, TX as well as The Button Factory in Dublin, the Folklife Festival in Memphis, TN and Austin City Limits Festival by the time he was 18. A citizen of Earth, he is creating a musical spaceship to travel into distant galaxies. His influences include everything he’s ever heard.

And this track seems to heavily influenced my Gnarls Barkley. I’m loving the sound of this guy! His other tracks on Soundcloud are all also awesome. Keep them coming Max, we’re loving your work.

Max Frost – White Lies

Seems a new band have emerged on the drum and bass scene, members of Palladium, the London-based purveyors of slick jazz-funky 80s-style pop who were cruelly dropped by their record company on the eve of the release of their debut album are back and making, well, anything but slick jazz-funky 80s-style pop, only this time as Monsta.

Their new single “Messiah” was released yesterday, and we think we will hear a lot more from these guys. It is worth checking their other stuff out on soundcloud.
